Europe. Traveling. The summer before college. Anything can happen, except Allyson doesn't want to change. She didn't want the bob haircut her best friend talked her into and she doesn't exactly want life to reinvent itself.
Except there's the boy. There's also this thing called "Guerrilla Will" which features the mysterious boy in a Shakespeare play that takes the crowd with them on scene changes. Allyson and her friend follow and the mysterious boy gives her a coin.
Chance, luck, or fate, throws the mysterious boy, Willem, with Allyson and for one day, she agrees to follow him to Paris, the real Paris and enjoy Europe. There are ups and downs, adventures and action, but for Allyson, it is a whirlwind day that is so perfect, that maybe she can extend that day further.
Except Willem disappears without a word.
Can one day really change a person? For Allyson, something about that one day did and she spends one year, with a little help from Shakespeare and "accidents," facing truths known and unknown, learning about herself, and questioning the limits of her life.
